Welcome to Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums, Ohio Chapter
The Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums is a paid membership of philanthropists dedicated to preserving and restoring the vast and unique art collections housed within the Vatican Museums in Vatican City, Italy.
The Patrons of the Arts was formed in 1983 to help provide funding for restoration of the Vatican Museums aging and historic artwork and to help with capital improvements. There are thirteen museums and restoration laboratories. Patrons Members represent non-denominational group, open to all art lovers and philanthropists. These groups are organized within Chapters throughout North America, Canada & Europe. The Ohio Chapter was established in 2005, and is one of 18 Chapters overall.
Patrons Members meet socially for sponsored dinners and planned events, along with traveling to the Vatican to share intimate artistic and spiritual experiences and see firsthand the results of their efforts.

Holiday Party Held in Historic Style
The historic Tudor House (on the campus of Gilmour Academy) was the site of the 2011 Ohio Chapter Patrons of the Arts of the Vatican Museums Holiday Party.
Attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception and dinner in the stylishly decorated mansion. Members of the 8th grade honor choir from St. Stanislaus Elementary School performed for the attendees during the cocktail reception. Pianist Tim Hunt and guitarist Alvin Whitehead entertained during dinner.

Chapter Chairman
The Ohio Chapter was founded in May 2005 and is a 501-c3 tax exempt organization. The Ohio chapter was started by Lorraine Dodero. Mrs. Dodero is a Cleveland native and has been a member of the Patron’s of the Arts since 1995, having first been a member of the Florida Chapter. The Dodero family along with her family, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Frankino have personally restored several pieces of artwork for the Vatican Museums.
Mrs. Dodero is also the Executive Trustee of the Corinne L. Dodero Foundation for the Arts & Sciences and the Sam J. Frankino Foundation. Through these Philanthropic Trusts she has made donations to charitable organizations that exceed $5 million dollars over the past 10 years.
